Our friends brought whole bag of ripe and juicy pears from their garden yesterday.. we thought it would be wrong to eat them just like that. Since pear sorbet is my husband's favorite flavour coming from his childhood, I just had to finally make it for him at home. I believe it was exactly as he wanted it! This quantity makes app.500ml of ice.
5 big ripe pears
2-3 tb.s. lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
3tb.s. brandy
1/2 cup water
Make simple syrup with water and sugar, cook for about 6 minutes, until it's a bit thickened.
Blend pears and syrup with brandy and juice in a food processor until really smooth. Freeze for several hours. Blend again and freeze. Enjoy!
PS picture is made after freezing for about an hour, if kept longer one may need an ice cream spoon to form nice scoops.
