May Update



Friends,

With summer approaching now is the time for travelling, visiting friends and relatives, time for more happiness!:)  We also have plans to do the same, so I will post less during summer holidays... I'll make sure to post pictures on my other blog more regularly, though!

I would like to wish to all of you a very warm and sunny time! Go out more often, if possible, eat light and check out this blog from time to time;) And I'll try to make sure to share with you some light summer desserts to make this time even sweeter for you!

PS. I stopped using Facebook page recently, so my apologies for those of you, who had "liked" Cooking Easy there.

Приближается лето и пора путешествий, встреч с друзьями и родственниками, счастливое время!:) Мы планируем сделать то же самое, поэтому я буду реже публиковать в летнее время...Хотя фотографий на моем другом блоге, видимо, прибавится:)

Я бы хотела пожелать всем теплого и солнечного лета! Выходите на улицу почаще, если возможно, готовьте легкие блюда и время от времени заглядывайте на этот блог;) А я постараюсь поделиться с вами летними легкими десертами, чтобы сделать это лето еще и сладким!

Ideas for the Easter table/ Идеи для Пасхального Стола

Being a good tradition already:) I'm going to review some of the recipes from this blog, suitable for the Easter.
Easter is my favourite holiday- it's spring, flowers, sun and warmth. And the more important reason, by all means, is Resurrection of the Lord, new life. And what is Easter for you? What do you normally cook on this holiday?

Overview of some Healthy Stuff of the Season/ Обзор некоторых Полезных Рецептов Сезона

Well, as I mentioned before, first days of being on restrictive diet are difficult. So, it's not a surprise I find myself thinking about something "forbidden" for a while:) Actually, I think some of these will become my first "treats" after I find they are "allowed" again:) In a week or two, probably..
Here I will share...let's make it 10 recipes, that can be made at this time of the year.
So, my personal favourites are:


Как я отмечала раньше, первые дни ограничений в питании немного трудные. Поэтому не удивительно, что я по несколько раз в день мечтаю о чем-то "запретном":) Но, хочу поделиться с вами некоторыми рецептами, которые наверняка станут моими "десертами", как только я себе разрешу их сделать:) Через недельку-другую...
Тут я предложу, скажем, 10 рецептов, которые можно приготовить в эту пору года.
Итак, мои фавориты:

Also appropriate enough for low carb diet/Также подойдут и для низкоуглеводной диеты

Recent creation, but so much loved!/Совсем свежее творение, но уже полюбившееся

They may look simple and nothing special- but I love them and make very often/Они, возможно, очень просто смотрятся, но я их люблю и делаю очень часто

Heaven. Could eat it all day long/Блаженство. Могу есть целый день

Absolute favourite, I eat it so very often!/Абсолютный фаворит. Ем его очень часто

Mmm....we all love them! Chewy and so easy to make/Ммм...мы все их любим. А еще их так быстро готовить!

Crunchy, healthy, nutty...I actually forgot about this one:( So that's a good thing to do, such reports, to revive great forgotten recipes/Хрустящие, полезные и ореховые...Вообще-то я о них забыла:( Поэтому, видимо, хорошо устраивать вот такие отчеты, вспоминаются замечательные рецепты

Moist, chewy, light and delicious. I'm so proud of myself, for creating this tastiness:)/Влажный, жевательный, легкий и вкусный. Я так собой горжусь за его изобретение:)

There are many more, of course, but things with berries, for example- can frozen berries be better, than fresh? Not really. So let's save those recipes for warmer days:) 

Это не все, конечно, но рецепты с ягодами, например- ну могут ли мороженые ягоды быть лучше свежих? Не совсем. Поэтому, сохраним те рецепты до тепла:)

February update/ Новости февраля

Ok, I'm officially on low carb for a while. From today. All those sweets (even healthy kinds) made me put on some weight (don't know exactly how much, my scale broke down). I've been exercising, as always, so the weight does spread out equally (at least!:) But spring is coming and there is no way I want to keep the sweet kilos on!

So I'll try to post some low carb recipes in the nearest future. By the way, if you have some ideas on snacking theme, let me know;)

The best way for me to stay in (my favourite) shape is just protein, loads of vegetables and fruit. But winter does it's dirty job by increasing appetite so much, and all I want is something sweet, homely and comforting. Despite my strict regime (no fatty stuff and sickly sweet), quantity of less harmful stuff DOES matter! That's the difficult one- quantity!

So in such cases, when I know I've been eating way too much, the only remedy is to cut heavy carbs completely for a while. Very difficult to start, but it gets easier later on.

Update

My dear readers,

As you could notice from recent posts, I came back home to my beloved kitchen:) Ohh, so good to be home! Wow, I never thought I would be missing cooking! It's kind of difficult to cope with all those coming to my head ideas and creations, when there is no opportunity to make it actually. Of course, I managed to cook some stuff even being away from home:) but that's a bit different...by the way, I also forgot my camera at home, so I had completely new experience in cooking/taking pictures...it all sometimes looked like not mine!:) A lot of fun though!

So, while still at home, I will be definitely trying something new, as much as I will be able to:) Don't want to stuff my fridge with all kinds of products, because with my lovely unpredictable husband it could happen we leave again and all of it will be rotten:(

Well, that's it for now. Wow, my brain begins to work again...I am able to express some of my thoughts even:) It's all that breastfeeding;)

It's almost December...

holiday time. Even being an adult I can't say I'm not slightly cheered up in December, though why would it be? I don't think I'll meet Santa or get loads of presents:) But never say never:)

savory chicken and my blog...

I created this blog a couple of months ago to try if I can also make it:) Of course, it does not have a lot of traffic yet, and I myself am not yet disciplined enough to put my thoughts/experience together more regularly, but I hope it will come! Cause I would really enjoy interacting with people who think similar and like things I like.
I wrote about myself, that I like to cook, and this my hobby awakened not so long ago in me (though there where attempts much earlier), but now I have growing family and there is actually a need in making food:) Preferably good food.
I like to travel also and I try to remember or to catch tastes and flavours of the places where I go. After a trip I may do a little study in the internet about cuisine and some history. It's really very interesting, all Why's and How's .
Yesterday I tryed to make southafrican dish (one of the variety of dishes) and we liked it. So I will put it here as well:)

Savory chicken

chicken meat (any part) 500-600 g
2 garlic cloves
ginger 0,5 tea spoon
2-3 green chily pepers
mint
coriander
cocos flesh about 30 g
2 t.s. vegetable oil
cinnamon
curry
salt
2 t.s. butter

Make marinade out of first 8 ingridients. Leave chicken in the fridge for an hour.
Using butter start stewing onion and the rest of spices on a pan. In a couple of minutes add meat with all it's spices and cook until it's done (about 15-30 minutes, depending on the meat type). If it get's  dry, put some water in a pan.
Delicious!

heimwee

can one develop heimwee naar (for) a country, where one lived just for couple of years? And where is actually my home (home country)? I think it is where you feel good and cosy, and you know your way there and it does not irritate you, because any place would have negative and positive aspects.
The country I was born and raised and lived until my 20th is not a bad country, my family and friends are still there, and which language will I master at the same level? But still, I always dreamed of going somewhere else. And I (still) never regreted leaving it.
Maybe I will be able to answer all these questions in some 20-30 years. For now I'm convinced, my home is where I am longing to be. This feeling is like Love- you can not even say what exactly it is, that attracts you. It's just good being there and thinking about it, when you are away.

the best time of the day...

is morning for me. Reading, checking mail, cooking or whatever when half of the family is still sleeping and another half is at kindergarden. I begin to feel that I belong to this world, I'm a part of it, I'm not dissolved in all that hustle and bustle of everyday life. But then, when they all come together, makes me feel full and brings smile on my face.

one more september day....

and it's raining. Somehow I like autumn. I feel so relaxed and comfortable....and soon all those colors arrive! It does good to me. It's good to have autumn...after all the other seasons. It's just like that pinch of salt in cookie dough, it makes a year full. Many people complaint about rain and falling leaves. But it's kind of philosophical to me. Maybe it's just in my character, but I guess a little bit of silence, contemplation and dullness, so to say, needs to be in everybody's life. And autumn is exactly all this.
But hey, tomorrow is another day and it might be very sunny.
