Flemish red cabbage

This is one of nice flemish cabbage recipes, easy to make and tasty to serve with meat.

cabbage 2 small ones
2 sour apples
pinch of cloves
1-2 bay leaves
1 onion
apr. 50 ml venigar (I use apple, wine venigar is good or grape)
apr. 2 tb.s. sugar
thyme
salt, peper
40 g butter

Place cut cabbage in a cooking pan with a little bit of water. Cook it for 15 minutes. In the meanwhile fry onion (not too much, using butter).
Put onion, apples, cloves, venigar, bay leaves, thyme to the cooking pan. Cook for another 10 minutes, check the cabbage if it's ready. Then add sugar and some flour to bind cooking water. Add butter.
Serve with choped parsley on top.
